Inter Milan have moved to confirm they are set to complete the signing of Serbian winger Adem Ljajic from AS Roma.
The Serbia international has struggled for playing time of late and the Nerazzurri swooped to offer him an escape route from Stadio Olimpico.
Inter have now agreed a €2 million loan deal with an obligatory buy-out option set at €9 million, with the Serie A giants confirming the agreement.
“Is there an agreement? You can say that, yes,” sporting director Piero Ausilio told reporters.
Adem Ljajic joined Roma from Fiorentina two years back and has since scored 14 goals in 62 league appearances.
The Serbian forward has, however, struggled for consistency, albeit showing occasional glimpses of his undoubted quality.
Ljajic, who has one goal in 12 appearances for the national team, has been named in Serbia squad for Armenia and France games.
