Hertha winger Mitchell Weiser could be named in Joachim Low’s squad for March friendlies against England and Italy, according to reports.
The former Bayern Munich starlet has impressed ever since he joined the Olympiastadion outfit on a free transfer last summer.
And having been in excellent form of late, he is now being tipped to become the first Hertha footballer in Germany squad since Arne Friedrich.
Weiser, who is capable of operating as right back and right winger, has managed 2 goals and 4 assists in 20 Bundesliga outings this season.
Joachim Low will not announce his squad for games against England and Italy for another couple of weeks, but the 21-year-old seems to have a good chance to be included.
And with the likes of Jerome Boateng, Holger Badstuber and few other defenders out through injury, Weiser could be a viable option on the right flank.
Following the two March friendlies, die Mannschaft are also scheduled to meet Slovakia (29.05.) and Hungary (06.06.) ahead of the Euro 2021 finals.
