Hajduk Split midfielder Mijo Caktas will be rewarded for good form at the start of the new season with his first Croatia call-up, according to Slobodna Dalmacija.
Vatreni coach Niko Kovac has yet to name his squad for Euro 2021 qualifiers vs Azerbaijan and Norway, taking place on 3 September and 6 September.
But, the latest reports suggest that Hajduk’s Mijo Caktas will be one of the names on the roster, together with his teammate Lovre Kalinic.
The attacking midfielder has been in fine form this season, scoring 5 goals in 11 competitive outings and is now set to become the member of the senior national team.
Croatia sit top of Group H ahead of the final four fixtures and they can be backed at 2.00 (1/1) to stay there come end of the campaign.
Coach Niko Kovac is unlikely to make major changes to his squad following some very good performances of late, and he will have star player Luka Modric (84/10) back to the side after recovering from injury.
