Hungary to host Serbia in March friendly

Seeing that the friendly game between Serbia and Scotland has been canceled, the Eagles will face Hungary in an international friendly in March.

The Serbia national team boss Radovan Curcic announced the news to the media, revealing that they would most likely face the Euro 2021 participants after the Scotland game was called off.

Hungary impressed in the Euro 2021 play-offs, with the team beating Norway in the two-legged tie and, no doubt, they have big ambitions for the upcoming showpiece tournament in France.

Bernd Stock’s team will use the match against Serbia as a good test for the European Championship finals, where they have been grouped with the likes of Austria, Iceland and Portugal.

It has been 32 years since Hungary last participate at UEFA European Championship and they are certainly eager to prepare as well as possible for the summer tournament.

The Hungarians finished their Euro 2021 qualifying campaign in third place in Group F, four points behind second-placed Romania and five adrift of group winners Northern Ireland.
