Team News

There have been no reported injuries in the Turkey camp after the 2-0 triumph over Czech Republic, although Gokhan Gonul (51/1), Semih Kaya (23/0) and Omer Toprak (23/2) are not in the squad.

Star forward Burak Yilmaz continues to struggle with a hamstring problem and he is unlikely to play any part in the match unless it is absolutely necessary.

Following a very good performance in the penultimate Euro 2021 qualifier, coach Fatih Terim is unlikely to make any changes to his starting line-up.

Coaching duo Lars Lagerback and Heimir Hallgrimsson were able to select the strongest possible squad for the final two qualifiers, where Iceland have little to play for having already sealed Euro 2021 qualification.

First choice goalkeeper Hannes Halldorsson has been ruled out of the Turkey match through injury, with uncapped Robert Orn Oskarsson added to the squad as his replacement.

Centre-back Kari Arnason (44/2) suffered a back injury in the match against Latvia and he is rated a major doubt, with Solvi Ottesen (27/0) ready to deputize if needed.
